I'm only being half sarcastic about my enthusiasm for this new semester because I'm actually happy about this fall semester because I actually have a painting class and painting is a medium I haven't dabbled in much. Mainly because getting the supplies can be pretty expensive, I'd get paint everywhere (acrylic was hard to get out) and I'm not good with the concept overall because I'm not familiar with any of the concepts and techniques. I'm use to drawing, only.
But it's the 3rd week of college and I found painting wasn't so bad. I got my supplies at a discount thanks to a friend who works at the store (saved about $80!

); I only got a little bit of paint on my hands and nowhere else yet; and actually, thanks to goofing off in photoshop, I've found a method of painting I'm pretty comfortable with and it turns out pretty well. Overall, I'm pretty happy but I got a lot to learn since this is still an unfamiliar medium to me.
I'm just disappointed that we're only doing 5 pieces in the class compare to drawing when we had to do about 24 pieces in a semester.

Well I've finished 80% of my first piece already and I'll be sure to post this semester's work later on.
P.S.
I've completed my English and Math requirement and I just need one more semester of Science to be done with it, for good. Sweet!
