EA - Float On by fenrir66 EA - Float On by fenrir66
My first project from my Fundamentals of Printmaking class. The first time I ever did any form of printmaking was back in elementary school and they gave us those foam meat trays and told us to carve into them with plastic knives and then ink it and stamp it. Well now I'm in college and I've never done any other form of printmaking before since that time in elementary so now I get to learn what's it all REALLY about and really love it.

It's a more elaborate process than drawing but it does allow you to make multiple copies of the same image and I have to admit my favorite part of the whole process was cranking the printing press. :)

Oh and in my printmaking class we're suppose to choose a theme to go with for the rest of the semester. I chose Endangered Animals just because I wanted to do animals in my work but guess I really should get my work to show more meaning behind it.

Hmm, sea turtles are cool. :) If you want to save them, don't buy products made from them. It'll only encourage the market.
